Division 14 would like to congratulate its two new Steering Committee members, Alina de la Paz and Kelly Nett. At the same time we would like to thank Joan Good Erickson for her time and efforts in having served this division well. I will be stepping down in December as Division Coordinator after having served on the Steering Committee for 3 years and then as Coordinator for another 3 years.
I would like to suggest that the next Coordinator consider exploring partnership activities with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation to promote research in the areas of multiculturalism and multilin-gualism. The division could investigate an arrangement like the pilot program launched this year by the Foundation with Division 2, Neurophysi-ology and Neurogenic Speech and Language Disorders. Investigators who choose to submit a proposal in this content area may elect to have it considered for a $1,500 grant supplement provided by Division 2. The supplement is intended to enhance one research study in neurologic communication disorders.
