This is the last column of mine as Coordinator for this division. I have been involved with Division 14 from its onset. First, I served on the Steering Committee and then became the second Coordinator after Hart Kayser. It has been 6 years of involvement. It is now the time to hand over the baton to a new leader. With new leadership comes new ideas and renewed initiative.
I would like to pass the baton and also inform you what direction Division 14 appears to be taking. We would like to offer:
  1. Continuing Education credit for our affiliates through articles in the newsletter, workshops, and conference offerings;

  2. A joint research addendum award with the ASHA foundation for serving multicultural populations and

  3. Peer reviewed articles through the newsletter.
