ASHA designated 2003 as the “Year of the Volunteer.” This issue of Perspectives points out how the division leadership (volunteers all) has been working to ensure that division affiliates get their money's worth. I am very pleased to tell you that Division 14 has become an ASHA continuing education provider. Beginning with the first Perspectives issue in 2004, affiliates will be able to earn continuing education (CE) credits by reading and completing the CE requirements. The division will also be able to provide continuing education via other formats as well. Division 14 is now one of only six divisions that are CE providers. Becoming a CE sponsor means we have an additional benefit to offer affiliates. Please spread the word to your colleagues that joining Division 14 will mean having exciting new CE opportunities.
