Welcome to the first issue of SIG 14 Perspectives for 2015 and my first Coordinator's Column. I would like to start by thanking Joyce Harris for her service to SIG 14. In reviewing her pervious coordinator's columns in preparation for writing my first, I was reminded of her eloquence and dedication to the profession. I can only hope to maintain her standard of excellence as I find my own voice.
The start of the year is always a transition period for SIG Coordinating Committees as members rotate on and off. Here at SIG 14, Nidhi Mahendra continues in her role as Editor. Melissa White is the new Associate Coordinator, and Danai Fanin has transitioned from CE Coordinator to Professional Development Manager. Mahchid Namazi began a new three-year term while Twhanna Green began her first three-year term. Claudia Saad continues in her role as ex-officio, keeping us on task and focused.
