It's time to welcome you to the final issue of Perspectives for 2014. We've unpacked our bags and caught our breath after attending a memorable ASHA Convention, always a career mile marker for me. And what's not to like about a trip to Orlando, especially when it includes an abundance of cutting-edge educational programs and opportunities to network with like-minded colleagues. This year's Convention lived up to those expectations.
It was a privilege to visit with those of you who attended the SIG 14 Affiliate Meeting. One of the main purposes of that gathering is to get a first-hand impression of those professional issues related to cultural and linguistic diversity in audiology and speech-language pathology that you consider most relevant. The Annual Affiliate Meeting is also an opportunity for affiliates to volunteer for a more active role in SIG 14, whether as a Perspectives author, a reviewer, or for service on an ad hoc committee. Of course, the Affiliate Meeting is not the only opportunity for you to share your time and talents.
